Welcome to the lucrative world of Affiliate Marketing. In Affiliate Marketing a company pays an affiliate (you) to generate sales from a button, Banner or link placed on your website, newsletter, e-mail or pay per click ad.

GOOGLE ADWORDS

More than 200 million times a day people use Google and its partner sites to find what they are looking for.

Google AdWords Select is a Pay per Click (PPC) advertising system maintained by Google. If you use Google you have probably seen the AdWords. They appear as little text ads next to search results on Google.

They also appear on AOL, Ask Jeeves, Earthlink, Teoma, Sympatico, and many other search engines.

Content-Targeted Advertising service is Google’s latest addition to AdWords. It displays AdWords ads on web content pages related to your chosen keywords. This provides broader exposure and greater reach for your AdWords campaign. Not only will the AdWords show on Google searches and on the search results of their partners, but also on other websites such as HowStuffWorks, Weather Underground, and Blogger.

With Google AdWords you create your own ads. You choose keywords which tell Google where to show your ads. You only pay when someone clicks on them. You have total control over every aspect of your campaign.

The Google AdWord system works differently than a traditional Pay Per Click service. The better your CTR, the higher up on the screen your ad will be placed. This is advantageous to you, because your ads are more visible to the customer. Therefore, you get more clicks.

You write small Google AdWords promoting companies, products and services. In your AdWords is a link that, when clicked, takes the user to the product or service that you are promoting. Your Affiliate ID is passed along with it. When the customer that clicked through your ad buys something on the site, or fills out a registration form, then you receive a commission. If the customer did not buy at that time, no need to fret, many merchant sites place a “cookie” on the customer’s computer for a certain period (such as 180 days). That means that, within the next 6 months, anytime the customer goes back to the site and buys or registers, you get a commission.

So many “gurus” tell you to simple join affiliate programs, and you will be on your way to making a bundle of money. That couldn’t be further from the truth. If you have joined any before, you already know this. You will always be faced with the following questions: What affiliate programs should you join? How do you promote the programs? How do you get quality traffic to your website? Do you have an affiliate website that makes people want to buy anything?

Well, finding the top affiliate programs is the easy part. While some companies have their own in-house affiliate program, others have theirs run by a major affiliate network.The top affiliate networks in my opinion are:

1 Clickbank - Dedicated to digital products, i.e. products that are available by download. 2 Commission Junction (CJ) - The top affiliate network for companies that sell physical products like computers, credit cards, clothing, etc. Some of the biggest internet properties in the world have programs here.

Finding the top paying affiliate programs at Clickbank, CJ, etc. is easy. You can check their EPC (earnings per-click) and join those that convert the best. Clickbank calls this “Gravity”. I will say it MANY times....I believe selling INFORMATION on the internet is the easiest way to get rich. Although many of my strategies can be applied to physical products, I always make a killing on informational products. That is why I think Clickbank is the best network to join. Once you have been to the affiliate networks mentioned above and decided which products you’d like to try selling as an affiliate, it’s time to write/create a sales letter that you will later plug into your website (creating your own website is discussed later if you don’t have one).

I think it’s time to begin to play the big game. Until now I gave you information about the best programs on making money with internet without any investment of you. You can use any of the methods, pages and programs I gave you and when you feel comfortable and confident on internet businesses you could begin to use Affiliate programs.

The first thing or question you have is what Are Affiliate Programs and Why Should You Join One?

The first thing I want to do is show you what Affiliate Programs are all about, what they are, how they work and why it is important for you to know all about them in your quest to make money from the internet. So here goes.

An affiliate program is an arrangement between a website/product owner and an individual marketer (in this case, YOU)…in which the marketer sends traffic (potential customers) to the website of the owner…and if a customer that you send to the website buys the product from the website, the marketer (YOU) gets paid a commission of the sale by the website owner.

So really, your only role in this affiliate arrangement is simply to find an effective way of sending QUALITY traffic (i.e. customers who are most likely to buy the product being sold) to the owner’s website and the owner then does everything else involved with the sales process. The website owner takes the orders from the customer, processes the payment, sends out the product to the buyer, deals with any queries and customer service in connection with the sale AND then sends YOU your commission checks from the sale. You can see why I call it making money the easy way!

There are affiliate schemes for every kind of product you can imagine; basically anything which can be sold on the internet through a website…can be sold by an affiliate scheme. And if you’re wondering how it is possible to keep track of the sales so you can know exactly how much commission is due to you… most website owners that participate in affiliate schemes have top-of-the-range “tracking” software that records each sale correctly so you get paid the right amount of commission.

And if you’re thinking you’d have to approach individual website owners yourself to arrange these schemes, you won’t have to. This makes running your affiliate schemes very easy indeed. Also you could track which products are selling best for you: if you find that your sales of gardening equipment is performing better than your other products, it will be easy to stop promoting the “slow moving” products and indeed finding more websites selling gardening products and sign up to those instead.

Joining an affiliate network is fast and easy and usually takes just minutes, filling a simple form on their website. All you have to do is sign up with one of these Affiliate Networks and you will instantly have access to, and be able to start affiliate programs with ANY website/product owner on their list, (in most cases it’s 100% free to join these affiliate network companies).

These companies make the process of finding website owners with good profitable products to sell very simple indeed. They will normally display a long list of website owners with products for you to sell, made available on their website so that within just a few minutes of you signing up to their network…you will be able to become an affiliate of any website owner/product you choose from the list, ready to start sending your traffic to that website and making your sales almost immediately. So joining one is well worth your while.
